The Story of Sandy a refugee from Iran We met her at a refugee gathering There she told us her story … Sandy was born in Iran... When she got divorced she moved to Turkey with her daughter and son .. She worked at a shoe store making very little income. She had no money, no support, no husband, and no one to help with her children. Missionaries would give her the Bible but she would throw the bibles in the garbage every time
She threw the bible in the garbage 10 times
One day her daughter left the house and decided to live on her own Sandy was devastated ..
That day she was walking on the beach in Turkey and she started crying out God…Allah. Why am I here? Why do I suffer? Why me?
She was crying and looking around and saw the cross of a church.
She asked herself “Why am rejecting that way maybe I’ll find help “so she went towards the church.
She entered the church and it happened to be Mother’s Day
While the Pastor was handing out roses to all the mothers, he noticed Sandy and another woman in the very back without a family.
He came to Sandy and gave her a flower. She broke down in tears and hugged him so tight.
The Pastor then prayed for her and encouraged her to start attending.
That day, she was able to leave the church in peace.
Then she was handed another bible by a friend and she started reading it ..
She joined an Iranian house church and started hearing about Jesus ..
One day she read the story of Jesus with the five loaves of bread and two fish in Matt 14:14-21 she said in her heart this God is my God and she believed!!
Conversion and Baptism...
She received the Lord as her savior and got baptized in the Iranian house church!
When she was finally got baptized, she went to the pastor and told him about the 10 bibles that she threw away.
She wanted to give back by showing non-believers that Christ is the way.
Sandy’s two children also got baptized, and currently live in Europe
Sandy invited us to her house, to have lunch.
We all prayed for her...

They prayed and the pain she could move her hand and she reported later she is in no need for surgery anymore ....
Sandy was a wonderful lady who loved the lord and is currently fellowshipping with other believers in her community in the US.
